Two new board members have joined the OHMI Trust - PROFESSOR MARTIN FAUTLEY, Professor of Education at Birmingham City University, and RUTH LESTER, a consultant surgeon specialising in children with upper limb differences. Their appointments coincide with the announcement of an Arts Council England grant to expand OHMI's work breaking down the barriers to instrumental music-making faced by disabled children.

Former Shadow Culture Secretary and Labour party Deputy Leader TOM WATSON has succeeded ANDY HEATH CBE as chair of UK Music. On his appointment at the beginning of April, Watson said: “Our urgent task is to work with our colleagues and partners in Government to support the national effort to defeat coronavirus, whilst protecting the jewel in the crown of British culture - commercial music."
