BBC Radio 3 Controller and former Arts Council England CEO ALAN DAVEY (pictured) is the new Chair of Governors at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He replaces DR GEOFFREY COPLAND, who has been Chair since HARRIET HARMAN MP stepped down in September 2019.
Previously Board Treasurer at The Dukes in Lancaster, DR ALAN HATTON-YEO (pictured) has taken over from JOHN CHELL as Chair. MELANIE WHITEHEAD (pictured), currently working for the National Theatre and previously educational consultant for Touring Consortium Theatre Company, will be joining the Board.
After seven years as Executive Director of Live Music Now, EVAN DAWSON is leaving to become CEO of the Royal Photographic Society. NINA SWANN, currently Director of LMN's South East Branch and Musicians' Development, will step in as Acting Executive Director on a temporary basis.
JOHN MOTHERSOLE will be England Chair of the National Lottery Community Fund Committee for the next four years. Previously a member of that Committee, he has held senior local government posts in UK cities most recently as Chief Executive of Sheffield City Council. His early career was in the arts, primarily in London and the North-East, including involvement in the reopening of the Roundhouse in London.

As founder RENNA KELLAWAY prepares to retire from Lake District Summer Music after 35 years, STEPHEN THRELFALL has been appointed as its new Artistic Director from October 2020. A cellist, conductor and creative director of artistic projects, he stepped down from his role as Director of Music at Chetham's School of Music last September after 24 years in post.
