A procession of more than 150 people stopped traffic on Waterloo Bridge this week, as it marched from Somerset House to Shakespeare’s Globe to launch the ‘Culture Declares Emergency’ campaign. The initiative has been backed by almost 200 cultural organisations and individuals, including the Royal Court, Battersea Arts Centre and HOME in Manchester.
