London music venue launches fundraising campaign as threat of closure looms

The Social, host to acts including Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine and Beck since its opening in 1999, has said it needs to raise £95k within two weeks to stay open, because of rising rents and a rival bid for its lease from a cocktail and wine bar chain.
