A new biennial international arts festival for Milton Keynes is being developed by music venue The Stables (pictured) and Milton Keynes Theatre & Gallery. The two-week international programme will cover physical theatre, dance, performance art, art installations, music and sound installations, promenade concerts and events across the city, many of which will be free. The festival is set to be piloted in July 2010 and will be led by The Stables with its Chief Executive, Monica Ferguson, acting as Festival Director. Ferguson hopes that the festival will “raise the artistic adventure of Milton Keynes, surprising its residents and visitors and providing a creative springboard for future artistic engagement”.
