A number of surveys and audits are putting calls out to the creative and cultural industries this month, calling for participants to give up five to ten minutes of their time for the sake of gathering the most comprehensive data, for the benefit of the entire sector.

• Arts Quarter is inviting arts organisations to take part in its study to understand the capacity of the arts to engage more effectively with what it describes as ‘High Net Worth Individuals’, the potential donors found in audiences. All arts organisations with an audience database are invited to participate, out of which individual participants will gain a clear sense of their own capacities to develop support from a potentially lucrative donor stream.

• London Arts in Health Forum is mapping England in a survey asking all organisations and individuals providing arts in health work to take part. The information will be collated on an online database and provide a resource for health providers across the country when the website goes live this summer. To make sure you and your organisation are represented, fill in the survey.

• The National Campaign for the Arts has launched its Cultural Workforce Survey to gather data on everyone who works in the cultural sector – from CEOs to interns – to create a snapshot of what the cultural workforce looks like today and how people really feel about that they do. It is the first questionnaire in what will become an annual series.

• UK Music has launched an industry-wide audit in a bid to understand, evaluate and anticipate potential skills gaps across the commercial music sector. The survey has been developed in partnership with Creative and Cultural Skills, which will be analysing the results to help meet recommendations on skills and training, and can be accessed until the end of June.
