The first online dance archive in the UK will be unveiled this month, representing a history of choreographer Siobhan Davies’ work. The culmination of a two-year project involving Siobhan Davies Dance and the Centre for Media Arts and Performance at Coventry University, the resource features material dating from 1977. It contains full-length films and over 2,000 searchable electronic records of moving and still images, and text relating to 36 dance works and seven associated projects. Davies formed her own company in 1988, and was awarded a CBE in the 2002 New Year’s Honours. The archive will be launched on 26 June.
