York Theatre Royal to undergo £4.1m revamp

A 1,000-seat temporary venue will be erected in the grounds of the National Railway Museum for eight months in 2015, while the theatre is closed for redevelopment. Plans include expanding the foyer space, flattening the theatre’s raked stage, and reconfiguring the auditorium.
