York Council cuts arts in bid to save £23m in two years
The council is raising tax, cutting 240 posts and plans to reduce subsidies for York Theatre Royal and York Museums Trust, which runs York Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, York Art Gallery and York St Mary's.
