The country’s Discrimination Ombudsman said Statement festival, which described itself as “male-free”, was discriminatory in that it “discouraged a certain group from attending”. The festival, which did not block anyone of any sex from attending, was set up in response to a large number of sexual assaults last year at Bravalla, Sweden’s largest music festival.
