Warning that Edinburgh is gripped by ‘overtourism’ crisis

The creator of the Hogmanay celebrations in the city, Peter Irvine, said Edinburgh’s “overtourism” crisis is comparable to Barcelona and Venice, and that parts of the Royal Mile have become “impassable” during peak periods.
