Unprotected Government departments told to prepare for a further 10% cut

Danny Alexander, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, has written to ministers saying a planned £ 11.5bn cut in public spending would mean reductions of up to 10% from each of their budgets, on top of the savings they have already made.
