UK museums challenged over controversial source of major donor’s funds
Revelations that the Sackler family, which has donated significant funds to the arts, has derived most of its wealth from the sale of a highly-addictive painkiller have been brushed off by UK arts institutions that have benefited, including the Serpentine Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the British Museum.
