Scottish Opera requests extra £1m following redevelopment

After the unexpected cost increases and delays of the £14.5m revamp of the Theatre Royal in Glasgow, Scottish Opera has asked Glasgow City Council for a £1m loan to bridge a gap in its income, on top of a £3m loan already agreed with the Scottish Government.
