Scarborough’s Futurist theatre set to become cave-themed attraction

The town's borough council is negotiating with a bidder looking to build a roller coaster, botanical gardens and cave-themed attraction on the theatre’s site. The theatre was closed in January after the council said it could no longer afford to subsidise it.
