Risk assessment is stifling urban music, Culture Minister warns London Mayor

In a letter to Sadiq Khan, Matt Hancock MP said the Met Police’s 696 form – which asks those hosting events to provide artist and promoter details – is reducing the diversity of music in London by deterring the programming of some genres, such as grime and R&B.
