RIBA Stirling Prize awarded to Damien Hirst’s gallery
Despite coming last in a BBC News poll, the Newport Street Gallery – designed by architects Caruso St John to house Damien Hirst’s private art collection – has won the Stirling Prize. It was dubbed “a bold and confident contribution to the best of UK architecture” by the judges.
