£500m scheme to redevelop Crystal Palace into cultural venue

The building designed for the 1851 Great Exhibition will be extended ahead of plans to develop the site for hosting cultural events such as concerts, exhibitions and screenings, as well as conferences and conventions. ZhongRong, a Chinese investment firm, is funding the scheme.
