£30m cut for DCMS with more to come

Chancellor George Osborne announced a £30m cut for the DCMS as part of his £4.5bn savings plan for 2015-16. Arts Council England has been asked to make savings of 0.3% this year, which Chair Sir Peter Bazalgette says will be made internally. Government departments expect further cuts of £30bn over the next two years to be announced in the emergency budget on 8 July.
