The Scottish government’s draft budget for 2014/15 has revealed a cut of 8.2% for five companies including Scotland’s National Theatre, but this is lower than was predicted. Fiona Hyslop, the Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, said they had prioritised the budget to minimise the impact of funding cuts on the cultural sector.
