£15m refurbishment for Whitworth Art Gallery

The Manchester gallery will be closed for one year as redevelopment plans are carried out. The public spaces will be doubled with the inclusion of a study centre, learning studio and expanded gallery space. The work is being funded by the University of Manchester and a major Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
