Belfast’s Grand Opera House has completed its £12.2m restoration and development project.

It received funding from organisations including The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

Chief Executive Ian Wilson said he was “delighted” by the restoration of the 125-year old building, which now includes a permanent heritage exhibition.

“Alongside the transformation of the public areas and facilities within the building, theatregoers will have a much-improved experience from the minute they walk through our doors,” he added.

The theatre will reopen to the public in July.
