£100k prize targets mid-career female artists

Philanthropist Elisabeth Murdoch has established The Freelands Artist Award with a cash prize four times the size of the Turner Prize. The award for female artists has no age restriction and winning will lead to a solo exhibition at a leading regional arts institution.
