Plymouth misses out on artwork after council over-estimated price

Plymouth City Council said that it could not justify a £6m spend on the ‘chalk giant’ artwork, shelving the idea and a possible feasibility study. However, a Freedom of Information request by The Herald revealed that the anticipated cost was under £1m.
