Out-of-school music is key for rural children, says charity

A new research report, highlighting the challenges facing children in rural areas has prompted a youth music development charity to call on Arts Council England and music hubs to provide greater support for non-formal, inclusive music provision. Children in rural areas of North Yorkshire risk isolation and limited life skills unless access to out-of-school music is improved, they say.
