Oscars shortlist prompts diversity outcry

The president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is preparing to shake up its membership criteria in an attempt to bring about “much-needed diversity” following the publication of a second consecutive Oscars shortlist in which all 20 actor nominees are white.
