The Society of London Theatres (SOLT) has put out a warning to the media about the dangers of citing unofficial theatre website URLs in both editorial and show reviews. It gives the example of The Gielgud Theatre, for which the URL at the end of a recent newspaper review for its production of Macbeth was that of a secondary ticket agent who was selling tickets at higher prices than the theatre itself.

The Irish Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon has published two pamphlets as part of its series The Value of the Arts. Journalist Emer OKellys The Case for Elitism and poet John McAuliffes The Siren Alps are part of a campaign to provoke discussion about the role the arts play in peoples lives.
