New arts centre for Shaftesbury Avenue

A disused chapel, formerly the home of the famous Limelight club, will reopen as a temporary performance space next month. The site was purchased in 2011 by an unnamed philanthropist and plans have been submitted to Westminster Council to turn it into a permanent multipurpose performance venue.
