The venue says 2019’s programme will highlight the richness and depth of Welsh talent, following well-publicised concerns from more than 200 actors and playwrights that National Theatre Wales (NTW) has not been producing enough shows or championing homegrown performers. Artistic Director Kully Thiarai said she hopes a free public event in March will bring people together to consider “what theatre needs to be in Wales and what NTW’s role is.”
