The public wants the Government to do more to help musicians overcome post-Brexit touring barriers, a new poll suggests.

58% of respondents to UK Music's survey agreed that “the Government should be doing more to ensure musicians can work abroad post-Brexit," against 7% who disagreed.

A majority agreed on increased support for touring musicians across all age groups, from 62% of 18-to-24 year olds to 54% of those over 65.

UK Music Chief Executive Jamie Njoku-Goodwin said it is time for the Government to replicate its EEA member trade deal with EU countries: “Now they must do the same in negotiations with EU member states and ensure British musicians can work and tour in Europe with ease."
