Leeds Grand Theatre will close for nearly three months so that essential maintenance work can take place.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the venue will close on 10 June with a planned reopening date of 5 September.

Work will include “future-proofing” the front of house auditorium to improve the quality of lighting and sound, and structural strengthening works to load-bearing walls to accommodate the larger and heavier sets that modern shows tour.
