Irish Government takes action in arts sector sexual harassment scandal

Arts Minister Heather Humphreys has arranged for senior staff and board members of arts organisations across Ireland to attend workshops on issues related to bullying and sexual harassment, and invited theatre heads to meet with her and the Arts Council of Ireland to discuss ways forward. The announcement follows allegations of aggressive behaviour against Michael Colgan, former Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, which are now being investigated by an independent advisor.
