Harrow edges closer to ‘Southbank Centre for North London’

Plans to transform Harrow Arts Centre into a modern complex with a cinema, galleries, cafes and a larger theatre were boosted yesterday by Harrow Council’s decision to move its arts and heritage services to an independent charitable trust. £3.5m needs to be raised to begin the redevelopment, of which a community project has so far raised £30k.
