Growth of Edinburgh Fringe slows for first time in 70 years

There will be 200 fewer performances and 45 fewer productions at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe than in 2015, attributed to a drop in the number of temporary venues being used. The programme still boasts over 3,000 shows and 50,000 performances for the second time in its history.
