Local councillors voted to grant planning permission to the controversial Impact Centre, which will come with a 1000-seat auditorium, conference spaces and a 200-seat studio. The building, which some politicians say is “too big for the site”, will be supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland and will be renamed the Dunard Centre when it opens.
