Equity makes plans to boost equality in theatre

Equity’s Annual Representative Conference has passed motions to encourage organisations to promote inclusive casting policies and to ease demands on actors who are parents or carers. The union will carry out an audit of drama school audition fees and create a new database of accessible casting venues. Members also agreed to dedicate 2017 to variety, circus and entertainment.
