ENO offers critics’ extra tickets to bloggers

Critics' second free tickets to opening night events will be offered to 10 novice critcs to increase opera's appeal and allow people to review it "more emotionally, not just from a technical standpoint", English National Opera Chief Executive Stuart Murphy said. Some are unhappy about the change, saying there are plenty of free seats and that new voices can be introduced alongside experienced journalists and their guests.
