The city’s unsuccessful bid for UK City of Culture 2017 is to be revived for entering the Europe-wide competition which will next be awarded to a British city in 2023. Director of the bid Bryan Beattie said the city was now planning on creating a ten-year cultural strategy ‘Decade Dundee’ towards making it a potential European Capital of Culture.
