Council to sell off 90% of art collection

Hertfordshire County Council will start auctioning the vast majority of its collection of 1,826 pieces of art – including work by Barbra Hepworth and John Nash – this week. The local authority discontinued its School Loan Collection scheme, which allowed children to see the artworks, in 2017.
