Comedy club avoids theatre ticket tax by charging per laugh

A venue in Barcelona, that saw revenues fall after the government increased its tax on theatre tickets, has installed tablets on the back of seats that detect every time an audience member laughs. Entry is free but laughs cost 24p a pop, with charges capped at £18.
