Children’s orchestra head calls for talent to be singled out

Sarah Derbyshire, Managing Director of the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain, is arguing for talented young musicians to be given the same support and opportunities as Olympic athlete hopefuls. She said: “Every child should have the chance to play an instrument, just like every child should have access to physical education.”
