Changes to copyright relax rules on parody

New laws allow for greater use of ‘quotations’ of copyright works and the re-use of material “for the purposes of parody, caricature or pastiche”. Critics have taken issue with the fact that it will be down to a judge to rule whether a disputed work of parody is sufficiently funny.
