Cash from arts centre sale earmarked for youth theatre

Members of Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet have agreed to ring-fence £600k from the eventual sale of Darlington Arts Centre for what they hope will become a "national flagship theatre for children", in connection with Theatre Hullaballo. The project is subject to the sale of the building and a successful bid by the children’s theatre company for additional Arts Council England support.
