Funding for arts groups could be cut by more than £220k in 2014/15, in plans approved by the local authority’s cabinet. This will include removing a £161k annual grant for Sherman Cymru and a further £2.5k for Nofit State Circus. As part of the proposals, arts organisations will be able to bid for funding for “specific, discrete projects” from a £70k funding pot.
