After underestimating the value of its art collection by millions of pounds, opposing parties at Bradford City Council are urging for some of the work, including pieces by Bradford-born David Hockney, to be sold to fund services. The authority’s leader Dave Green said selling the art would be detrimental to the city’s “cultural and historical legacy”.
