“All-white and able-bodied” BAFTAs raises concerns

Shadow Minister for the Arts Chris Bryant has criticised a “disturbing” lack of diversity in the entertainment industry, after no black or ethnic minority performers were honoured at this year’s BAFTA Awards. Union Equity has also spoken out: “It is time to move beyond pious statements of good intent and take some real action to re-dress this gross imbalance.”
