2.8m tourists to UK are theatre-goers

Around 2.8m visits to the UK include a trip to the theatre, musicals, the opera or ballet, according to new research by VisitBritain. The research shows theatre tourists spend £2.7bn while visiting the UK, and theatre-going in London is a particularly important driver of tourism, with 24% of all holiday visitors to London attending the theatre.
