Children sitting on the floor in an arts workshop

More than 2,000 Year 4 and 5 school pupils are taking part in an international schools arts programme run by arts education charity WebPlay. Children from nine regions of England are linked with partner classes from other schools in the UK and abroad via a safe schools-only Internet network in a range of creative programmes.

Trips to theatres across the country allow them to meet their online partners and attend Visible Fictions’ production of ‘Jason and the Argonauts’. Specially created workshops then help them write and produce their own mini-plays when they return to the classroom. The show will also tour to the USA and link up with children in Los Angeles.
