A grant of £2.4m has been awarded by Arts Council England (ACE) to Creative and Cultural Education (CCE), “towards the establishment of a level of reserves by 31 March 2011” for its Find Your Talent (FYT) programme. FYT, which aims to provide five hours of cultural activity per week for school children in England, is part of the Government’s Creative Britain initiative. ACE has recently passed £18m in funding for FYT to CCE, the independent body which now manages both FYT and Creative Partnerships. This funding initially came from a mixture of sources including the DCMS, the Department for Children, Schools and Families and ACE (AP164).
