KATY SHAW has been appointed by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and UKRI as Programme Director of the Creative Communities programme.
The £1.5m project exploring how culture can address regional inequalities will be delivered from Northumbria University, where Shaw is Director of Cultural Partnerships.
Shaw’s role will include research and engagement work to identify good partnership working practice across the UK.
“I look forward to working with a diverse range of creatives, audiences and organisations across the regions and nations of our United Kingdom in the months ahead,” she said.
